Hi, I’m Shirley.

I’m so glad you found your way to this space. I’ve been so honored to have photographed families for over sixteen years. I can’t believe I’ve been invited into some of life’s biggest and most sacred moments in those sixteen years: newborn moments, wedding days, and all the days in between.

Over the years, I have also watched some of my tiniest clients grow up right before my lens. Now? They’re graduating. Watching these kids grow into this new season of life is what has made me emotional and humbled, and it’s what tugged me into senior photography. In fact, it was my long-time and legacy clients who encouraged me to start focusing on senior clients. Their trust inspired me, and believe it or not, I still travel down to the Bay Area to serve my California clients every year. Some of these legacy families have been in front of my lens for over a decade, and what an honor to watch them grow through lots of seasons of life!

As a wife and mom myself, I’ve found that senior year is one of my favorite milestones. The senior clients are just a little bit nervous, they have a sense of ‘is this really happening?’ and it’s contagious. Families tell me that they love my passion, my energy, and well, my search for the perfect pocket of golden light. I’ve become known for my attention to detail and not surprisingly, my South African accent. I want every senior and parent to leave their session feeling proud, and totally themselves. This season is too special to let it slip by, and I’m here to make sure you have photos that feel just as meaningful as the memories you’re making.

My goal is always the same: capture what’s real, and what’s meaningful. And through it all, it’s my faith that keeps me grounded. My relationship with Jesus is the heart behind how I serve others: with love, joy, and intention. I believe every person was created with beauty and purpose, and I carry that truth into every session I photograph.
